Cannon Custom Designed Heat Exchangers

Cannon has provided heat exchangers to a wide variety of industries, as described in our previous literature. This makes it impossible to gather the all of the proper information required in a short list of questions. Therefore, we request that you gather the following general information and contact us by phone or email to discuss the application.

General information required about both the hot and cold sides of the exchanger.

1. What is the purpose of the heat exchanger? (Example: To cool steam/heat water to transfer heat to other areas of the process.)
2. Is this a direct replacement, upgrade/redesign, or new application?
3. Governing design/build code? ASME?
4. Is the process continuous or cyclical?

Hot Side

1. Hot Side Flow Media (examples: combustion products, steam, process gasses, oil)
2. Hot Side Flow Rate (pound per hour)
3. Hot Side Temperature (F)
4. Hot Side Design Limitations (pressure or temperature).
5. Hot Side current materials of construction (examples: carbon steel, stainless steel)

Cold Side

1. Cold Side Flow Media (examples: water, glycol, air)
2. Cold Side Flow Rate (pounds per hour)
3. Cold Side Temperature (F)
4. Cold Side Design Limitations (pressure or temperature).
5. Cold Side current materials of construction (examples: carbon steel, stainless steel)
